You are invited to travel to Evia, the second largest Greek island, where you will be based in Styra.

Styra is located in the southern part of Evia island, facing the eastern shore of Attica across the South Evian Gulf. Here you will have the opportunity to go back in time and experience an unspoilt part of Greece with its spectacular scenery, beautiful coastline, traditional villages and numerous beaches. There are medieval towers, dragon’s houses, and Byzantine churches to visit whilst enjoying the local cuisine and wines at your leisure.

Styra with their Dragonhouses (Drakospita), combining country and sea holidays, unspoiled sandy beaches and mountains totally unaffected by mass tourism, allows you to be amused by the natural beauty, the traditional picturesque villages and the magnificent gorges all year long. Visitors fond of hiking, mountaineering, trekking, nature lovers will find here their home away from home.

DAY 1 - Arrival - Styra

Arriving in Athens. There is then a drive of just under one hour to Aghia Marina Harbour where we take the ferry to N. Styra (3o mintus). We then take a short 10 minute drive to the House of Prince

DAY 2 : Zarakes walking 5km (+50m/-207m)

We leave Styra and after a 25-minute drive, we reach the village of Zarakes. We commence with an easy 3 Hrs walk along the old Mahala of Zarakes village ending at the beach where we will have a swim and a fresh fish meal with the catch of the day. L

DAY 3 : Styra 5km (+316m/-316m)

We drive just above Styra for a 4 Hrs circular walk. Staggering views of Styra and the Evian gulf will just blow your mind. Ancients quarries indicate former mining activity, while colossal ancient walls and the huge monolith gate “the emblem of the municipality of Styra” are exactly what we came for.. L

DAY 4 : Rest Day

Rest Day (Optional visit to a nearby beach, or other attractions)

DAY 5 : Kellia 7 km (+340m/-340m)

We take a  4 Hrs walk starting from the Styra to the abandoned settlement of Kelia. Walking among hilltops and farmlands this is a walk you will enjoy. L

DAY 6 : Harakas Gorge 9.5 km (+440m/-440m)

We leave Styra by van and reach the entrance of Harakas Gorge after 5 minutes. A  4+ Hrs walk awaits. We go down Harakas gorge which leads to the beautiful secluced beach of Harakas gorge. L

DAY 7 : Agios Dimitrios Gorge 6km (+339m/-643m)

We drive to Agios Dimitrios village where we will start a  3 Hrs linear walk down the Agios Dimitrios gorge. There are spectacular views of the surrounding countryside including the overhanging mountain rock faces. L

DAY 8 : Departure

During this tour you will stay in the House of the Prince – An Authentic 5* Experience. A premium “Self Catered” lodge that will make you travel back in time. It is located just 2 minutes walk from the town square where you can find the butchers, bakers, mini market, coffee and souvlaki shops.

All the accommodation has been selected by us and checked in person by our crew. They fulfil a minimum level of standards for cleanliness, staff behaviour, breakfast, comfort and more. Most probably you will meet the owners themselves, have a cup of coffee with them! Contact us for more details.
